School Uniform

Uniform

The school encourages all children to wear school uniform and shoes that are both practical and comfortable. Governors reviewed and updated the policy in Spring 2025 to ensure it met the latest Government guidance about affordability.

The following are required for each child:

Main Uniform 

  • St Peter’s polo shirt (long or short-sleeved), or plain pale blue polo shirt without the logo 
  •  St Peter’s jumper or cardigan • Grey trousers, shorts, or skirts
  • Plain grey, white, or black socks, or grey tights 
  • Red checked summer dresses (optional in summer months) 
  • St Peter’s book bag or rucksack, or a plain maroon/burgundy version

PE Uniform

  • St Peter’s PE T-shirt or plain pale blue T-shirt without the logo 
  • Plain maroon or navy shorts, skorts, leggings, or joggers 
  • KS2 training top (for Key Stage 2 pupils)
  • Trainers for PE
  • Drawstring PE bag for shoes and kit

Coats

  • Pupils may wear a St Peter’s coat or a plain maroon/navy/blue coat appropriate for the weather.

Footwear

  • Plain black shoes for regular use
  • Trainers for outdoor PE 
  • Barefoot or plimsolls for indoor PE
  • Ankle boots permitted in winter 
  • No open-toed shoes, platform soles, or high heels Socks must be plain (white, grey, or black

In KS2 children will also need swimsuits / swimming trunks and a swimming hat.

PE kit should be in school every day and all items must be clearly named.

A range of previously owned uniform is available from school. Spare uniform is put out every Friday home time. Please use this time to look through and collect any items you may need. We suggest a small donation to FOSPS for second hand items.
